You may be wondering about my background. From a very early age, I drove my parents crazy because I took everything apart. I had to know how a device worked. Mechanical devices fascinated me and still do. Over the course of 35 years, I have been a maintenance supervisor, hydraulic field engineer and built a very successful heavy industrial machine shop. My last venture involved building portable machine tools which allowed us to machine large capital equipment on site.

As an example of how I attack a problem, I needed closed combustion chamber heads with dual squish bands for my 454 motorhome engine. They don't exist! In order to prove the concept, I made a pair that work great. Yes, you can run 9 to 1 compression ratio on a hard working motorhome engine using 87 octane gas.
